Our body of research is interested in the structural characterization of the bat rotavirus spike protein G3P[10], which is a virus hopping between animals and humans. The general body of research of RV zoonosis is concerned with identifying the glycans an RV variant binds to, and the elucidation of the binding mechanisms. From this data, evolutionary relations are inferred from similarities between these binding characteristics.
