A28 - Kids Developing Trust Issues

Mentor: Carolyn Craig

Little kids are surrounded by stories and traditions that include all kinds of fantasy characters, and they get all there information from their parents from ages 3 to 4. At the same time, they’re just starting to figure out how the real world works, which can make things confusing for them. This topic is important because it can affect how kids build trust, handle their emotions, and start to think critically. This site looks at how preschoolers, especially ages 3–4 are developing trust issues, since they’re more likely to believe in imaginary things and rely on adults and their feelings to understand what’s real.
