C33 - Observation of Spin-Orbit Coupling in NaK Molecules and Spectroscopic Measurements
NaK (sodium-potassium mixture) molecules absorb energy (resonant frequency) from a pulsed laser and electrons are excited from the ground state to the excited state. When they decay back to the rovibrational levels of the ground state, they emit fluorescence.

NaK (sodium-potassium mixture) molecules absorb energy (resonant frequency) from a pulsed laser and electrons are excited from the ground state to the excited state. When they decay back to the rovibrational levels of the ground state, they emit fluorescence. By collecting the emitted fluorescence, we analyzed the rovibrational transitions by comparing them with the Franck-Condon map, then extracted key spectroscopic constants such as vibrational frequency, chemical bond strength, anharmonicity, and potential well depth. These values reveal important information about molecular structure and serve as benchmarks for theoretical models.
