Dr. Scarry is a biological anthropologist with a research focus on the evolution of cooperation and within-group social bonds among non-human primates. Her work examines the consequences of between-group competition among males in New World monkeys and the ecological correlates of female agonism across primates more broadly. She received her Ph.D. from Stony Brook University in 2012.
