The Geospatial Analysis Center (GAC), housed inside Shideler Hall, is an umbrella for all things geospatial at Miami, encompassing any questions in which you might ask "Where?" It comes down to where things are and how they interact with other things around them

Archaeologist Morag Kersel tells the (w)hole story for the 2019 International Archaeology Day lecture
The Department of Anthropology presented its second annual International Archaeology Day lecture on Thursday, October 17. Followed by a Q&A, the lecture was given by DePaul University archaeologist Dr. Morag Kersel, who spoke about her field work in Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian territories

25 years of ecosystem research on Acton Lake supported by NSF
Long-term research on Acton Lake has involved more than 100  students over the past 25 years. Left to right:  Kevin Lash ('16, M.S. '18)  and doctoral student Tanner Williamson in 2015;  Jessica Gephart (Miami '11) and Claire Meikle ('14) in 2011; and Williamson, Tessa Farthing , graduate student, Izzy Aristizabal, senior, and  Claire Stock, junior, in 2019. The NSF Long Term Research in Environmental Biology (LTREB) grant provides $634,999 over the next five years. It is the only LTREB project currently funded in Ohio.
