Early College Academy

Miami and Ohio

Ohio’s workforce gains a competitive advantage through Miami University’s Early College Academy, which accelerates the pipeline of career-ready individuals prepared to compete for in-demand jobs. Participants enter the program as high school juniors and by graduation earn both a high school diploma and an Associate Degree in Arts in General Studies — creating a faster path to in-demand careers and four-year degrees. Leveraging Ohio’s College Credit Plus program allows the academy to be offered at no cost to participants and families, with tuition, books, and fees fully covered. The academy removes financial barriers, provides early exposure to college-level coursework, and ensures employers benefit from a stronger pipeline of Ohio-grown talent.

  • Participants complete at least 62 credits across four semesters, supported by advising, tutoring, and opportunities to engage in both high school and Miami campus activities.
  • By covering the cost of tuition, books, and fees, the program removes financial barriers, accelerates degree completion, and provides participants with a strong foundation for higher education and career success.
