No ice skating or hockey experience is necessary! Whether you're a beginner or have some experience on the ice, Try Hockey for Free is a great opportunity to get started. Our trained staff will be on hand to guide you every step of the way, ensuring a fun and safe experience.
Attendees will have the chance to learn the fundamental skills of hockey, including basic skating techniques, stickhandling, passing, and shooting. You’ll get a taste of what it’s like to play the sport in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment.
While the Goggin Ice Center will provide hockey sticks and pucks for all participants, we ask that you bring your own helmet, gloves, and a warm pair of pants to ensure you're comfortable on the ice. It’s important to dress warmly, as the rink can be a bit chilly.
If you enjoy the session and want to continue developing your hockey skills, consider signing up for the Jr. RedHawks Learn to Play program at the Goggin Ice Center. This program is the perfect next step for those who want to continue their hockey journey, with additional training and more advanced skill-building sessions.
