Miami IDs

Students walking across a stone bridge on Western Campus.

Your Miami ID (Digital ID or physical card) provides access to residence halls, campus buildings, meal plans, Recreational Sports Center, MUlaa debit accounts, campus events, and library resources.

Digital ID

  • We encourage you to learn about DigitalID for convenient access to campus facilities, meal plans, and MUlaa!
  • Beginning Fall 2023, the default form of ID for incoming students will be the convenient Digital ID. New students who would prefer to use a physical ID card instead of Digital ID should fill out this form, or visit the Campus Services Center for assistance.

Guidelines for Use

  • Miami University is not responsible for damages resulting from the loss, theft, or misuse of a Miami ID. You should safeguard your ID at all times. Dishonest use of a University ID is a violation of the University Code of Student Conduct.
  • Because the ID is used for admission to various University facilities and activities, the lending, borrowing, altering, or duplicating of an ID is strictly prohibited.  Unauthorized use of a Miami ID may result in criminal charges and university disciplinary action.
  • Mobile Applications and Digital ID functionality may ONLY be used on your own mobile device, for your own use. Your account and privileges may not be used by anyone else, or shared with anyone. Violations of this guideline will be referred to the Office of Community Standards for students or the Department of Human Resources for employees.
