Fashion program applications open until end-of-day Friday, September 29
Do you love fashion? Are you interested in co-majoring or minoring in fashion at Miami University? If so, you can apply for the Fashion Program until the end of the day on Friday, September 29!
Fashion program applications open until end-of-day Friday, September 29
The program, which is open to all majors, centers around fashion business, fashion design, and fashion entrepreneurship and allows students to work with resources at Miami such as creative technologies, connections with alumni and even a study away experience in New York City.
In addition to opportunities within the program, students can also explore related organizations on campus like UP Magazine and Miami University Fashion & Design (MUF&D).
Della Reams, co-director of the program, encourages students of all levels of experience – including zero – to consider applying.
“The fashion industry is one of the largest industries in the world, and the Miami Fashion community has hundreds of members. Numerous satisfying careers are available in fashion, not just fashion design and fashion merchandising. Fashion-related jobs include communication, business, science, technology, engineering, art, and math. We have students from 40+ different majors across campus, and all are welcome to join the fashion program as a minor or co-major,” Reams said.
Students also love their time in the fashion program, including 2020 graduate, Eva Savovich
“One of the reasons I like the fashion co-major is because it’s so broad,” Savovich said. “You take classes in making, drawing, textiles, business, history. Having exposure to everything makes me well-rounded.”
