As part of the Fall 2023 Miami University initiative with the Department of State Diplomacy Lab, upper-level Architecture Studio titled Studio Imaginaries: Global Migration through Physical and Virtual Spaces critically considered how such spaces could welcome individuals and communities migrating from global ports to the United States.

The Online Gallery Link presents projects that include research and engagement with U.S. migration policies, international asylum and human rights laws, ecologies and territorial borders, and spaces of migrant engagement with the U.S. For example: US–Mexico border and indigenous territories; North America; Central Asia and South Asia, The Levant, Ukraine, Europe. Inclusive of the project work, design studio’s autobiographical works of personal and familial stories about migration are also presented.
