Springtime sparks creativity at Miami University’s CCA sector with Sparkfest 2025

Miami University’s College of Creative Arts will host the fourth annual Sparkfest, a public festival of student creativity, from 12 to 5 p.m. Friday, April 25, in the courtyard outside the Center for Performing Arts.

Sparkfest features live performances, art demonstrations, and DIY activities that showcase work from across the college’s departments, including pottery, theater, fine art, architecture, music, and emerging technology.

Sparkfest 2025 highlights include pottery throwing, T-shirt screen printing, live music, design exhibits, and student-made art for sale.

Free pizza, desserts, and giveaways will be available — but supplies go fast. Raffle prizes are donated by local businesses, and guests must be present to win prizes.

Students or Local Artists interested in performing, selling their art, or showcasing any creative work can sign up through the registration form available on Sparkfest’s Linktree. All self-proclaimed Creatives are welcome to come celebrate.

Members of the College of Creative Arts Alumni Advisory Board will also attend to connect with the community, strike up a conversation, and support the festivities.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available at any metered spaces near the Center for Performing Arts and all along Maple Street. One-day red permits can be purchased through Miami University Parking Services for $2.
