College of Creative Arts announces 2026 P.R.I.D.E. Award Winners

The College of Creative Arts (CCA) at Miami University has announced the recipients of its annual P.R.I.D.E. Awards, recognizing four staff members for exceptional contributions across the division.
This year’s honorees include Cristy Betz (Music), Krista Stenger (Theatre), Erin Heil (Art), and Gretchen Baer (CCA Dean’s Office).
The P.R.I.D.E. Award — short for Performance Resulting in Distinguished Excellence — is a university-wide recognition program that provides monetary bonuses to employees who demonstrate outstanding performance, innovation, or service. The award highlights achievements such as leading impactful projects, improving processes, or delivering exceptional service to the university community.
“All of this year's PRIDE recipients have demonstrated excellence in their job by going above and beyond expectation to assist the college during a season of transition,” said Dean of the College of Creative Arts Ryan Fisher. “We are honored to have them in our college and celebrate them for their tremendous service!”
Within CCA, recipients are selected through an internal nomination and review process led by the dean’s office, with winners recognized publicly at the division’s end-of-year gathering.
College leaders noted that the P.R.I.D.E. Awards play an important role in celebrating the often behind-the-scenes efforts that sustain academic excellence. By recognizing staff achievements, the program helps foster a culture of appreciation, innovation, and continuous improvement across the university.
