Career Treks allow you to visit workplaces, transforming classroom concepts into real-world experiences. You will: 

  • Witness day-to-day operations and workplace dynamics.
  • Gain insider insight into industry trends, including the skills that are in demand and advancement opportunities.
  • Build professional relationships that may lead to future mentoring or job/internship opportunities.
  • Learn about workplace norms, communication styles, and professional etiquette so you can make a seamless transition to the workforce.
  • Assess if a field aligns with your interests, skills, and values so you can make an informed career decision.

Our signature Career Treks include our Career Academy experience and our Presidential Career and Leadership Series city trips. They allow you to network with industry leaders, explore non-traditional career paths, and grow as a young professional.

Career Academy

Establish a global network, gain professional skills, and advance your cultural competencies by participating in this immersive program. Past treks went to Europe, New York City, and Washington, D.C.

Gain insight into work and life in major Ohio cities: Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus. You’ll meet with leading employers, engage in cultural activities, and explore career paths.
