Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits sex-based discrimination in educational programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. Sex discrimination includes sexual harassment and sexual violence. Title IX applies to all public and private educational institutions receiving federal financial assistance.

Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Students
Ms. Cecilie McGhehey, is the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for matters related to student sexual and interpersonal violence. This includes sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and sexual coercion of students. Bennyce Hamilton, Ph.D., Regional Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiatives, is the University’s Deputy Title IX Coordinator for matters related to regional student sexual and interpersonal violence. This includes sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and sexual coercion of students.
