SLAM professor co-edits special issue of Sports, Ethics and Philosophy journal
Sam Morris, clinical professor of Sport Leadership and Management (SLAM), recently co-edited a special issue of the journal Sport, Ethics and Philosophy dedicated to the intriguing intersection of Sport and Species.
Morris authored the article “Hunting, the Duty to Aid, and Wild Animal Ethics, which delves into the complex question of whether the duty to aid justifies causing harm, potentially even lethal harm, to humans in defense of wild animals. While acknowledging the moral complexity, Morris contends that the duty to aid doesn’t extend to justifying lethal force against a person.
