Miami University SLAM students experience the SheBelieves Summit in Chicago

Six students from Miami University's Sport Leadership and Management (SLAM) program participated in the 2024 SheBelieves Summit, an educational and networking event hosted by U.S. Soccer and Deloitte in Chicago. The summit provided these aspiring professionals an invaluable opportunity to interact with industry leaders and enhance their career readiness through panels and workshops focused on professional development.

At the SheBelieves Summit, Miami students Carleigh Greiman, Mackenzie Holder, Brigit Morgan, Kate Parks, Sydney Schlanger, and Shelby Wright, along with associate professor of sport leadership and management Callie Maddox, not only gained knowledge from panels and breakout sessions but also had the unique opportunity to network one-on-one with industry professionals. This direct interaction provided them with invaluable insights and advice, enhancing their understanding of the industry and their career readiness.
The students also had the chance to connect with their peers from colleges across the country, fostering a broader network of contacts. This participation highlights Miami’s commitment to preparing its students for success in the sports industry by exposing them to essential learning and networking events like the SheBelieves Summit.
