Urban Cohort joins Peaslee Neighborhood Center

Miami University’s Urban Cohort program faculty and students joined the Peaslee Neighborhood Center on Tuesday, Oct. 29, for the “Making a Way with Peaslee” annual community event at Woodward Theater. Celebrating a 16-year partnership, Peaslee recognized John Blake, director of Miami’s Center for Community Engagement in Over-the-Rhine, with the Bonnie Neumeier Movement Builder Award for his impactful community work. Jenn Arens, co-instructor for the Urban Cohort Junior Seminar and Peaslee’s Community Education Coordinator, was also honored for her decade of service. The event highlighted the ongoing collaboration between Peaslee and the Urban Cohort in fostering community engagement and educational equity.
