
The 2024 Love and Honor Awards ceremony on Feb. 13 will celebrate exceptional individuals whose generosity, leadership, and service have advanced Miami University’s mission. Among the honorees are two distinguished alumni from the College of Education, Health, and Society.
Lynn Pistell ’70, a math and elementary education graduate, will receive the Spirit of Philanthropy Award alongside her husband, Tim Pistell ’69. Walter Kimbrough ’91, an acclaimed leader in higher education, will receive the Spirit of Western College Award. Walter’s career as a university president, author, and advocate for diversity and equity reflects the social justice legacy of Western College for Women.
