EHS students named Fulbright semifinalists for 2025-2026 awards

Two students from Miami University’s College of Education, Health, and Society (EHS) have been named semifinalists for the prestigious 2025-2026 Fulbright U.S. Student Program.

Melinda Barman, an undergraduate Integrated Science Education major, Urban Cohort participant, and NSF Noyce Scholar, is a semifinalist for an English Teaching Assistant Award in Germany. Asad Ikemba, a doctoral student in Educational Leadership, is a semifinalist for an Open Study/Research Award in Tanzania.

They are among 14 Miami students and alumni recommended by the U.S. National Screening Committees for further consideration by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Final selections will be announced later this spring.
