KeAnna Daniels blends healing and entrepreneurship to uplift women and communities

As co-founder of Tears, Tides and Transformation, Daniels brings together community, conversation, and courage to normalize mental health and emotional care.

Through workshops, speaking engagements, a podcast, and affirmation-based products, Daniels and her team create intentional experiences that support individuals and communities on their healing journeys. The platform partners with organizations that prioritize wellness and inclusion, always centering the care of the people within them.

The idea for the venture was sparked during a heartfelt conversation in a Dayton coffee shop in 2020, when Daniels and co-founder Bridget bonded over their personal experiences and a shared vision for creating space where women could speak openly about life and healing. That vision evolved into a platform that now reaches thousands of listeners and participants.

As a seasoned entrepreneur, Daniels understands the challenges of building businesses while juggling full-time work and community leadership.

Her proudest moment came in 2023 with the launch of the inaugural Women’s Healing Conference. The event brought the podcast to life, offered experiential hands-on healing experiences, and celebrated local women-owned businesses. “It was a vibrant, affirming space for women to gather, heal, and grow,” Daniels said.

Her time at Miami helped lay the foundation for her current work. “The ESP program was rooted in real-world application and experiential hands-on learning,” she said. “EHS nurtured my heart for people, which sits at the core of every business I’ve built.” Daniels says her dual background in social work and entrepreneurship uniquely prepared her to lead ventures focused on both social impact and business strategy.

To students and aspiring entrepreneurs, her advice is simple and powerful: “Remember your why. It'll guide you, ground you, and help you stay focused through personal, professional, and cultural evolution. change.”

Daniels' story is featured in EHS Innovates: Founders and Builders, a spotlight series from Miami University’s College of Education, Health, and Society. This new series highlights alumni who are building ventures with purpose across education, health, and society.

What helped me overcome those challenges was community...being in rooms with other entrepreneurs who could see me and the value in what I was building made all the difference.
