EHS students honored with Provost’s Student Academic Achievement Award
Two College of Education, Health, and Society students are among this year’s 13 recipients of the Provost’s Student Academic Achievement Award, which recognizes exceptional academic achievement and contributions to campus intellectual life.
Katie Dunn, a sport social work student, was selected for her nationally recognized research on nutrition and mother-coaches, her leadership in founding Miami’s Students in Sport Social Work Organization, and her record of academic excellence as a Presidential Fellow and Truman Scholarship finalist.
Virginia Willard, a nutrition and public health student, earned recognition for her research on pediatric obesity, athlete weight bias, and edible insect consumption, along with her leadership in coordinating Miami’s Nutrition Conference and advancing community nutrition education.
Each award recipient receives a $1,000 scholarship and was recognized at a ceremony on Sept. 4, 2025.
