Nearly 500 Miami University students explored career opportunities at the 2025 Sport Career Exploration and Networking Expo (SCENE), continuing a steady rise in participation. Hosted by the Center for Career Exploration & Success, the event has grown from 160 students just a few years ago to 489 this year.

Students connected with employers from across the sports industry, including the Chicago Fire Football Club, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Cavaliers, and St. Louis City SC, as well as Miami Athletics, the Recreation Center, and Goggin Ice Center.

More than half of the attendees were first-year students, reflecting the value of early career exposure. Faculty in sport leadership and management (SLAM) played a key role in encouraging students to participate and in emphasizing the importance of networking and building professional connections throughout their college journey.
