Miami University received a $336,000 grant through the Ohio Behavioral Health Scholarship (OBHS) Program to support Ohio’s pipeline of licensed behavioral health professionals prepared to serve traditionally underserved communities. Through this project, Miami University’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program will support 12 graduate social work students through a coordinated workforce development model that removes financial barriers, strengthens clinical preparation, and facilitates transition into high-need behavioral health employment across Ohio.
The project is led by Family Science and Social Work faculty and staff: Nichole Carr, DSW, LISW-S; Angela Curl, Ph.D., LSW; Adrienne Newman, MSSW, LAPSW; and Amy Roberts, Ph.D., LSW.
