Business Economics
Business Economics
The Business Economics major is for students who want to understand decision-making and problem solving in the context of business and social environments. The major fosters an understanding of the objectives and functions of a market economy and applies these principles to business and social problems. Economics provides a unified framework to think about choices in many contexts, the consequences of these choices, and the ability of leaders to implement them. Business Economics majors acquire a key piece of intellectual capital: a well-honed skill for critical thinking, especially with regard to problems that involve data and quantitative methods.
