Accountancy
Accountancy
Accountancy encompasses the identification, measurement and communication of financial and operational information that is critical to the success of business, government, and not-for-profit organizations. Pursuing a degree in accountancy at Miami will help you to develop a wide range of knowledge, skills, and abilities, and establish life-long partnerships that will provide an excellent foundation for a highly successful professional career in an increasingly dynamic business environment. Accountants develop and apply their skills in auditing, taxation, forensic accounting, management policy, information systems, consulting, personal business planning, and many other areas. Because of the importance of accounting to organizations and the wide range of valuable skills accountants possess, a high percentage of executives (CEOs, CFOs, etc.) have accountancy related educational and professional backgrounds.
