Two Options to Prepare for Professional Health Programs

College graduates who plan to pursue medical school or other professional health care programs have two great options at Miami University – a Master of Medical Science (M.M.Sc.) in Biomedical Science or a Premedical and Pre-Health Studies Certificate.

Biomedical Science Master’s Degree

You can complete our Master of Medical Science (M.M.Sc.) in Biomedical Science in as few as 12 months (32 credit hours) for a traditional pathway to medical school or Miami’s own Physician Associate program. You also can complete the M.M.Sc. leadership track (47 credit hours), earning your M.M.Sc. plus a certificate in Business Management as you establish a strong foundation for leadership roles in the health care industry.

Premedical and Pre-Health Studies Certificate

If you’ve completed your bachelor's degree and need additional undergraduate coursework to be competitive for admission to med school or other professional health care programs, consider the Premedical and Pre-Health Studies Certificate. You can complete the program in as few as 12 months (24 credit hour minimum) as you work with your academic advisor to tailor coursework according to your individual needs.
