Nominations now open for the 2024 RedHawk50

Miami University’s John W. Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship has opened the nomination window for the 2024 RedHawk50 awards.

What is it? The RedHawk50 program celebrates the fastest-growing Miamian-founded or -led business private companies in the world. Our second annual evening Reception and Awards Gala will be held to announce members of Miami RedHawk50 and honor the businesses included on the list. The nominations are open to any private company that was founded, owned, or led by a former Miami student.

Nominations for RedHawk50 are open through August 15. Nominators must provide the company name; the nominee’s name; the nominee’s email; your name; and your email address.

The process:

  • Any private* business founded, owned, or led by a Miamian can be nominated. Businesses can be self-nominated or nominated by someone else.
  • Nominated companies will be contacted after August 15 to submit an application with additional high-level financial information submitted to an independent accounting
  • The information provided will be used to evaluate and rank candidates by net returns over a three-year period.

Honorees will be notified beginning December 1, 2024, and will be invited to attend the RedHawk50 Reception and Awards Gala on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Cincinnati Music Hall in Cincinnati’s historic Over-the-Rhine (OTR) district. They’ll also have an opportunity to pass on insight and lessons learned to the next generation of Miami business leaders.

More than 360 companies were nominated for the inaugural RedHawk50 last year, and in March, more than 300 Miamians, business owners, and business and startup professionals from around the state of Ohio and across the nation gathered at Music Hall to honor the 50 fastest growing Miamian-founded or Miamian-led private companies in the world. The 2023 RedHawk50 included companies from 17 industries, 14 cities in the U.S. and Great Britain, and more than a dozen companies featured on the Inc. Magazine Inc. 5000 list.

Visit the RedHawk50 website for more information on eligibility criteria and to nominate a company.

*Public and holding company ownership companies are not eligible
