Forbes highlights Miami for company culture
Forbes partnered with Statista, a market research firm, to compile the inaugural list. Forbes and Statista surveyed more than 218,000 employees across the country who worked for companies of at least 1,000 workers.
For the Education category, Miami ranked 29th and was among the top five in Ohio. The university was 174th overall.
Survey participants were asked to rate their employers on several company culture-related matters on fairness, opportunity, and inclusivity, including on work-life balance, collaboration, advancement, and more.
“Our faculty and staff have fostered an extraordinary environment that encourages innovation, leadership, and engagement,” Miami President Gregory Crawford said. “By maintaining these high standards of quality, the Miami University community continues to support our students as they thrive and flourish, both during their time here and beyond.”
This is the fourth time in 2025 Miami has appeared on a Forbes Best Employer list. In August, Forbes selected the university as one of America’s Best In-State Employers for a sixth straight year.
Previously, the university earned accolades as one of America’s Best Employers for Women and as one of America’s Best Employers for New Grads.
With over 3,700 employees, Miami serves more than 20,000 undergraduates and 2,000 graduate students across its Oxford campus, regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown, the Voice of America Learning Center in West Chester, and the John E. Dolibois European Center in Luxembourg.
