Showcase your ‘Falling for Miami’ moments in fall photo contest

“Falling for Miami” isn’t just about the season, it’s about the people, traditions, and memories that make Miami feel like home

Are you “falling” for Miami? Whether you are new on campus — or have memories of your fall semesters from past decades — share your “falling for Miami” moments during Miami University’s Falling for Miami photo contest

The contest kicks off during Miami’s Homecoming Weekend Sept. 25 and runs through Family Weekend, ending Oct. 25.

Entries may be submitted by current students, prospective Miami students and their parents, alumni, faculty, and staff.

Submitting a photo is easy. Capture a photo that taps into the fall semester: Students are invited to showcase their present‑day Miami. Alumni are invited to share their own “falling for Miami” moments — even if your photo was taken years ago, you may submit it during the contest period Sept. 25-Oct. 25.

  • Upload your photo to Miami’s UGC (user generated content) platform and follow the instructions on the pop-up box.
  • Post the entry by 11:59 a.m. EST on Oct. 25.
  • Entries will be populated to Miami University’s official website through Photoshelter UGC.

Three winners will be selected to receive special Miami University prize packages with an assortment of items from Brick & Ivy Campus Store. The approximate retail value of each prize is $450 for first place, $300 for second place, and $150 for third place.

"Some of our favorite Miami memories are of the campuses dressed in brilliant fall colors,“ Miami University President Gregory Crawford said. “I am excited to see Miami captured from diverse perspectives and to witness how the affection for Miami will shine through.”

Contest winners will be judged and winners announced by Nov. 5.

The official contest rules are available online.
