Open forums for provost candidates in February, March
Sessions will be held in both Oxford and Hamilton

Zeb Baker, dean of Miami University’s Honors College, serves as committee chair.
Other search committee members include Jayne Brownell, Rachel Beech, Ande Durojaiye, Rick Page, Michael Crowder, Jerome Conley, Dawn Fahner, Carrie Chambers, Amy Moore, Kirsten Osteboe, Kathryn Aldstadt, Sara Kelley, John Virden, Michele Navakas, Ellen Yezierski, Liran Ma, Brett Smith, Adam Beissel, Jeremy Jones, and Stephanie Nicely.
The university is working with Storbeck Search, a national search firm, throughout the process. Consultants from Storbeck Search were on the Oxford, Middletown, and Hamilton campuses in September for open forums to discuss the search.
In April, it was announced that Chris Makaroff, former dean of Miami University’s College of Arts and Science, would serve as interim provost. Makaroff replaced Elizabeth Mullenix, who announced in early 2025 that she would step down as provost and executive vice president to return to teaching in the College of Creative Arts.
