University Advancement Builds Momentum Toward $1 Billion Campaign Goal
Miami University enters the final year of For love. For honor. For those who will. with strong philanthropic and financial momentum. University Advancement closed fiscal year 2026 (July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026) with $81.5 million in new gifts and commitments, bringing the campaign total to more than $852 million — more than 85% of its historic $1 billion goal — with one year remaining.
That momentum is reinforced by the continued strength of Miami’s endowment. The endowment closed the fiscal year at nearly $1.3 billion in market value, delivering a 20.5% return — its third consecutive year of double-digit positive returns. Most importantly, the endowment provided $32.8 million to support Miami’s students, faculty, programs and priorities during FY26, an increase of $5.3 million from the previous year.
Support from alumni, friends, corporations and foundations continues to build resources for Miami’s future, including $25.8 million committed to scholarships in FY26. The university received more than $50.4 million in cash gifts, exceeding its annual goal by more than 26%, which includes more than $26 million invested in the endowment.
With a robust pipeline of philanthropic support, a strong endowment, and continued engagement from the Miami community, the university is well positioned as it enters the final stretch of the campaign, which concludes on June 30, 2027.
