Biography
Wietse de Boer, Ph.D., serves as Interim Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education. He advances strategic goals related to student success, curriculum, compliance, advising, and other aspects of undergraduate education. Key partners include the Registrar’s Office, the Miami University Integrated Learning Office (MILO), the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE), the Howe Center for Writing Excellence (HCWE), the Undergraduate Academic Advising Council, the Honors College, and Miami Online.
Dr. de Boer joined Miami University in 2003 as a faculty member in the History Department; he served as department chair between 2014-2024.
