Julie Goodman
An Indianapolis native, Julie Goodmand joined The Cabaret as Chief Advancement Officer in November, 2024, bringing a track record of Results-driven communications and advocacy leadership to the award-winning venue in downtown Indianapolis. Prior to that, Julie led the Indy Arts Council as President and CEO where she oversaw the Council’s strategic plan, organizational administration, and programming including arts advocacy, grants and fellowships, artist services, public art initiatives, the Indianapolis Artsgarden and Gallery 924, the Indy Arts Guide, and arts education partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools.
Previously, she served as Senior Vice President of Marketing Communications for Strada Education Network, a national higher education social impact organization. Julie also spent 25 years advocating for arts and culture in Cincinnati through roles with Cincinnati Opera, ArtWorks (public art nonprofit), and ArtsWave (United Arts Fund). She also served as VP of Marketing for Downtown Cincinnati Inc., VP of corporate communications for Luxottica North America and its global OneSight foundation, and Executive Vice President of Dan Pinger Public Relations.
Julie graduated from Miami University with a communications major and music minor and lives in Zionsville, Indiana, with her husband (also a Miami grad), two kids, and a black lab named Ellie.
