Austin Lockhart

Biography

I grew up swimming my whole life and swam competitively at a college level where I set school records. My interest in managing an aquatic facilty started there, when I started Lifeguarding in 2014. I managed a City Aquatic Center for 2 years before I started here at Miami in 2022.

Why I Love the Rec

I love Recreation because it is a foundation for everyone and their wellness. Lets you see and help everyone of all ages and all backgrounds and athletic abilities.

Favorite Rec Moment

For only being here for a short time, my favorite memory would be that we host a lot of swim meets and see a lot of fast swimmers and some of them being on a national level.
