I have been swimming my entire life. I stayed at open swims until I turned blue. I participated on my school swim teams. My favorite event was the 500 Freestyle, even though my favorite stroke was Butterfly. I started lifeguarding when I was 15 years old. I worked at a few different pools, lifeguarding, teaching swim lessons and teaching lifeguard courses. I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelors of Science in Motion Picture Science. I joined the Miami University Recreation team in September of 2026, as the Aquatic Center Assistant Director of Events and Programs.
Why I love the Rec
I love recreation centers because trying your best is the bare minimum expectation. Miami Rec Center is big and better and demands enough that every day feels like an achievement.
