Biography
I grew up here in Oxford, OH, and first started working at the Rec when I was a student at Talawanda High School. After graduating, I went on to the University of Toledo where I played hockey and worked in the Athletics Department. I graduated in 2020 during a time of a lot of uncertainty in the sports world. After college, I spent some time working in ticketing for the Detroit Red Wings and Tigers, but quickly realized it wasn’t the right fit for me. That’s when I decided to come back home. Now that I’m back in town, I’m focused on giving back to the community that helped shape me. When I’m not at the Rec, you can find me coaching the Miami High School hockey team, out hiking, or enjoying a night in uptown Oxford.
Why I Love Working at the REC
I love the Miami Rec Center because it gives me the chance to connect with so many different members of our community every day. There aren’t many places in town where you’ll find kids, college students, adults, and seniors all interacting under one roof. It’s special to be part of a space where people feel a real sense of belonging—especially if they haven’t found that anywhere else.
