“Why Miami?”
“Miami University drew me with their code of ‘Love and Honor’, which is deeply ingrained in the programs mission, vision and goals. I have observed that rural and underserved community health is not a common focus for most institutions developing health programs. Yet, as a first-generation college graduate, and as a future provider, I am both fully aware and passionate about my own clinical skills being used to the fullest, to serve and improve the lives of all rural communities. I wish for my experience to not only improve local, but global, population health—with goal of serving many noble organizations, such as United Nations International Children Emergency Fund.”
