“Why Miami?”
“My experience in healthcare began when I had the privilege of volunteering in nursing homes that were located in rural communities. It was through these shifts that I witnessed the impacts that a lack of access to quality healthcare and basic necessities can have on the well-being of those impacted by limited meaningful resources. These formative years of learning inspired me to choose a profession that could have meaningful impacts in both practice and patient advocacy. In my search to for an institution that would serve these interests, I knew I wanted a program that would focus on my patients’ holistic needs. Miami University has allowed me to develop strong clinical knowledge and healthcare delivery skills to provide exceptional and quality healthcare to underserved communities in Ohio.”
