“Why Miami?”
"I have lived through and shared many of the barriers experienced by our patients both inside and outside healthcare. These experiences have spurred my interests to break through those barriers. My passion for addressing healthcare disparities begins within rural communities by bridging gaps in language, accessibility, and equity. At Miami University, I found a setting with which I can cultivate skills necessary to provide holistic care to my patient’s and communities. I see Miami as a space where I can amplify diverse voices and champion equity within healthcare using the education and experiences the university provides. I hope to carry my future role as a PA with cultural competency, empathy, and provide quality healthcare to rural areas where such care has been limited.”
