“Why Miami?”
“I was initially drawn to Miami because of its reputation as one of the best universities in the country. When I stepped on campus for my interview, I was immediately impressed by the facilities, opportunities for clinical research and outstanding PA faculty members. Finding a PA program that allowed me to learn hands-on via the use of the anatomy lab was extremely important to me, and Miami provided that. While I had not had much experience in terms of rural health, I valued Miami’s emphasis on clinical research for underserved populations, specifically in rural areas of the country. Finally, I was extremely impressed by the PA faculty members’ experience and knowledge. I knew that I would be supported yet challenged every day from the best of the best PAs.”
