“Why Miami?”
“I chose Miami because of its focus on emphasizing care for underserved communities, through knowledge, skills, and clinical advocacy. Having grown up in an Ohio Appalachian county, I know too well those afflictions and socioeconomic challenges that remain inadequately addressed. Due to my formative experiences, I have a passion for being a clinician who will provide quality healthcare that is desperately needed by so many of these rural families. I am grateful to attend a program that considers my own experiences and will provide me with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure that I am the clinician that will provide patients and families with the support needed to ensure their healthcare goals are met."
