Next Leadership Program

Youth participation is an essential aspect in the continuation of community growth and community impact. Research has demonstrated youth can make meaningful contributions to society fostering change in schools, social programs, businesses, and communities.

The Next Leadership Program works with area high school students to develop the next generation of social entrepreneurs and community advocates. Program participants identify issues affecting their community and work to resolve them through entrepreneurship, legislation or community partnerships. Participants engage in workshops, group projects and interactions with community leaders.

Students will gain:

• Leadership skills
• Entrepreneurial development
• Engagement in community issues and development
• Identification as a Miami University Regionals Next Leadership program participant
• Opportunity to work with community leaders and businesses
• Opportunity to work with Miami University Regionals faculty member

We are accepting applications for Summer 2024! Eligible students must be in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade.

The program meets on June 3-5 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Miami University VOA Learning Center.
