The Workday Advising Tools Demo is Live

The Workday Student team has released an Advising Tools demonstration, which you can access in Workday Learning by clicking the button below.

VIEW DEMO

The interactive, hands-on demo showcases key functionality and upcoming changes. The self-paced demo takes approximately 40 minutes to complete and can be paused and resumed at any time without losing progress. Please note that this is a demonstration, not training. Structured training opportunities will be offered at a later date to ensure users feel confident in the new processes.

Who’s Impacted?

Those who support and advise students are encouraged to review the demo and familiarize themselves with the new workflows and procedures.

What’s Changing & When?

Beginning Spring 2027, advisors will use Workday to support students with key tasks, including course registration. The transition introduces new tools and workflows designed to enhance advising activities and promote student success.

The demo covers:

  • Navigating the Advising Dashboard
  • Exploring and Interpreting Student Profiles
  • Managing Student Cohorts for Advising and Reporting
  • Understanding Programs of Study
  • Gaining Insight into Academic Plans and Academic Progress Reports (APRs)
