Accessible Technology Symposium

Technology plays an increasingly important role in teaching classes and presents exciting opportunities for dynamic instruction. This annual symposium is designed to discuss current issues and trends in accessible technology, and provide information about universal design and building accessible content for classroom and marketing materials.

Miami's 4th annual symposium will be a two-day event, in partnership Ohio AHEAD (Association on Higher Education and Disability). In addition to Thursday's schedule of events focusing on accessibility at Miami, we will be hosting Ohio AHEAD's Annual Conference on Friday. Their theme for this year is "The Changing Landscape of Higher Education and Disability."

Additional details, including featured speakers, will be posted to this site as they become available.

Call for Proposals

We are looking for Miami faculty, staff, and students to share knowledge, skills, research evidence, and experiences. Sessions on any aspect of using assistive technology to support teaching and learning will be considered.

The deadline for submissions is June 1, 2017.
