Scuba Diving

There are two courses offered in the pursuit of scuba diving. A beginners introductory class and the PADI Open Water certification course recognized all over the world. In both classes, students will be familiarized with the basics of scuba diving and set up to succeed in future underwater adventures. Additionally, the PADI Open Water course will allow the students to explore their new skills under the supervision of their instructor.

Course Types

  • Discover Scuba: An introductory class that familiarizes the students with what it takes to explore the underwater world.
  • PADI Open Water Diver Scuba: This course prepares the students to experience unparalleled adventure beneath the waves through one of the world's most popular and widely recognized scuba courses.

Have you always wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary.

  • Knowledge development in a classroom to understand basic principles of scuba diving
  • Confined water dives to learn basic scuba skills
  • Open water dives to use your skills and explore

Requirements

  • Must be at least 10 years old
  • Need to be in reasonable physical health

Cost

  • Member $8 | Non-Member $10

* Includes books and materials, classroom, pool time & gear rental for the pool. Does not include the open water check out dives.

  • Knowledge Development in a classroom to understand basic principles of scuba diving
  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore (This is a separate class that you will schedule with your instructor)

What scuba gear will you use?

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you're diving in tropical, temperate or cold water.

All scuba equipment will be provided, as well as the course materials that you will need for this class.

What you will need to bring to class:

  • Swim Suit
  • Towel

Requirements

  • Must be 10 years old
  • Need adequate swimming skills
  • Need to be in good physical health
