What I love about my majors: My majors give me the freedom to express myself and the ability to connect with people in many ways.

A role I play outside the classroom: Writer for UP Magazine, member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, and a writing consultant for Howe Writing Center

My favorite place on campus: King Library

My dream job: writing for National Geographic and working with scientists and photographers on climate change projects

A little-known fact about me: I have been to the hospital in 4 different countries.

What I love about my majors: I like how these two majors correlate well. I also like how classes directly relate.

A role I play outside the classroom: Captain of my co-ed dance team

My favorite place on campus: My favorite place on campus is the Shade Family Room in Armstrong. I love hanging out or studying during the day.

My dream job: My dream job would be working in a communications department at a big company.

A little-known fact about me: I am very outgoing and absolutely love meeting new people. I am a campus tour guide, so I get to meet new prospective student and families frequently.

What I love about my major: reading my fellow writers' work!

A role I play outside the classroom: I am the Fiction/Poetry editor for Happy Captive Magazine. I am also involved in Phi Sigma Pi, the National Honors Fraternity.

My favorite place on campus: King Library's Cafe

My dream job: nonfiction writer/author

A little-known fact about me: I once ran into Miami graduate, Paul Ryan while I was on a family vacation in Wisconsin.


Briah Lumpkins

What I love about my majors: I love interacting with people from different paths in life and telling their stories.

A role I play outside the classroom: I serve as the Assistant News Editor at The Miami Student and a member of Miami Activities and Programming (MAP).

My favorite place on campus: I love studying on the second floor of Benton Hall. They have chairs placed in front of huge windows that outlook the entire North Quad of campus.

My dream job: I would love to be a news anchor or a print journalist in Chicago.

A little-known fact about me: I'm terrified of the highway and have not, and probably will never drive on it.


Diego Marcucci

What I love about my majors: I love how much I have been able to learn about the way communication works in the real-world, and my studies have made me eager to dive into the workforce.

A role I play outside the classroom: I belong to PRSSA [Public Relations Student Society of America], Toastmasters International, PR Visions, and will be competing in this year's PRSSA Bateman Competition.

My favorite place on campus: My favorite place on campus is central quad. Walking by the sundial and taking in the beautiful view reminds me each time why I chose Miami University, and it reaffirms my decision to spend my college years here.

My dream job: My dream job one day is to be VP of global communications for an international company. This will be a long path, but along the way I hope to be the director of communications for various companies as well.

A little-known fact about me: I have been lucky enough to travel the world with my family and learn various languages and cultures throughout my life, and that's why I'm trilingual! This is something that I am proud of because it has shaped me into who I am today because of the different experiences that I took in when I was younger.

What I love about my majors: the way they make me reflexively and critically think about the society which we create every day

A role I play outside the classroom: Philanthropy Chair of Alpha Delta Phi

My favorite place on campus: the basketball court at Phillips Hall

My dream job: working for a sports marketing or political communications organization

A little-known fact about me: I lived and studied in London (more specifically, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea) during the 2019 spring semester.

Other comments: I read the New York Times and Cincinnati Enquirer almost every day.


Hannah Morrison

What I love about my major: I love how it allows me to be creative and see the world through countless perspectives.

A role I play outside the classroom: I am a coach at Chestnut Field House, and I also teach yoga at the Rec!

My favorite place on campus: I love going to Chestnut to coach and/or exercise. Most of my friends also go to Chestnut, and it is a great way to relieve stress.

My dream job: I would love to be a proposal manager or editor.

A little-known fact about me: I grew up playing a variety of sports and enjoy fitness in general, but I have been specifically training with a weightlifting team for a while now. When I'm not studying, I spend a vast majority of my time training at the gym and prepping the food required to train. I am a goal-oriented person, and I need something to consume my time and keep me focused.

Other comments: I am a huge lover of music. I love all genres, including metal! I don't go anywhere without my headphones and a playlist ready to go.


Mady Neal

What I love about my majors: I love my majors because I think literature and culture are the basis of any human experience, and it is important to learn how to analyze and interpret what makes us who we are!

A role I play outside the classroom: I am currently in the process of forming a literary magazine on campus devoted to creative nonfiction!

My favorite place on campus: I really like visiting the formal gardens by the Marcum Center, and though it's not on-campus, I think Books and Brews will be my new study spot!

My dream job: I want to work in publishing or as a literature professor.

A little-known fact about me: I've been speaking French since I was three years old, and I've visited over 10 countries! Next on my travel bucket list is Singapore!

A role I play outside the classroom: Resident Assistant for Miami University

My favorite place on campus: I would say that my favorite place on campus is any lawn on a sunny day.

My dream job: I want to pursue a career that is creative and brings value to people

What I love about my majors: I truly enjoy learning Chinese and Chinese culture. I love public relations and communications, and I think that implementing my Chinese knowledge will give me a lot of opportunities, so I think it's the perfect combination.

A role I play outside the classroom: Besides being a communications intern I am also a marketing assistant for the Rec Center. This year I will also be joining PR Visions.

My favorite place on campus: I love every part of campus, but I like the most spending time by Western Campus reading or relaxing.

My dream job: I feel that this might change with time but as of now, my dream job is to be a public relations director for Tesla.

A little-known fact about me: I was born and raised in Mexico City, moved to China for three years in 2012, and I have now been in the US for almost four years. I love travelling, and I've been to 23 countries and speak four languages. After graduation my goal is to go back to China.
