Presentation - Domestic and International Perspectives on Implementing Alternatives to Finance Lifelong Education

In this presentation, we share information on access to and participation in adult education and training (AET) and then share examples of alternative methods for funding AET, specifically Individual Savings Accounts and Training Vouchers, across the comparison countries, which include Canada, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States. We wrap up by sharing a summary and implications.

Trends, determinants and the implications of population aging in Iran

Fertility and mortality decline are major drivers of Iran's population aging. A rapid and sharp fall in fertility rates over the past three decades as well as a substantial rise in life expectancy are causing rapid aging of Iran's population. This paper uses the 2015 United Nations Population Division data to discuss the trends, determinants and the implications of population aging in Iran.
