The Department of Art's special responsibility is to promote the conceptual, technical, and intellectual growth of students in art education, art and architectural history, communication design, and studio art by offering creditable professional majors. We prepare producing and exhibiting artists, designers, art and architectural historians, and art teachers for careers in art, design, and fields related to art, as well as for advanced study in studio disciplines.
