Saturday Art

The Saturday Art program is staffed by faculty and students (both undergraduate and graduate) from the Art Education area. This activity is listed for the undergraduate students as ART 495, "Practicum in Art Education," and it provides important supervised teaching experience for the students.

This very successful and popular program serves the greater Oxford community and is open to anyone from ages 4 through adult. The courses are each Saturday for six weeks with a final celebration/exhibition taking place on the seventh week.


Description

  • Students ages 4yrs. to Adult can participate
  • Each student will experience a range of creative projects in a variety of mediums
  • Classes are designed to challenge students at their own level and new lessons are presented each week
  • Classes are instructed by Junior and Seniors in Art
  • Education as part of their Practicum in Art Education
  • Previous experience is not required!

  • Cost: $50 per student, $45 each additional student
  • Location and time: Classes meet from 9:00am–10:30am in the Art Building, Miami University
