Student Service Leadership Awards
In an effort to recognize outstanding service to the campus and the community, the following awards are made available to undergraduate students through a grant from the Miami University Family Fund. The nomination form will close at 5 p.m. EST on February 22, 2023. The nomination form is now available.
President's Distinguished Service Award
The President's Distinguished Service Award is presented to a select group of students whose service demonstrates the spirit of being a citizen leader of uncommon quality. Eligible students for 2023 include December 2022 and January 2023 graduates, and those preparing to graduate in May and August 2023. A written nomination letter is required for this award.
Nominations are evaluated by a Reading Committee, composed of faculty and staff from Oxford, Middletown, and Hamilton campuses. Academic performance and student disciplinary records are considered during this process. Recipients are honored at a ceremony in April and receive a distinctive medallion to wear with their commencement robes. Read these tips for writing a nomination letter for the President's Distinguished Service Award.
The recognition ceremony for President's Distinguished Service Award recipients will be held on April 16, 2023.
